About Us
Abbotswood Community Association are applying for a Community Asset Fund from Test Valley Borough Council towards the cost of installing heat pumps and air conditioning units in the Community Centre. The purpose is to:
- offer air conditioning for the hired spaces and lobby to improve facilities for community events and hirers of the hall and rooms;
- support net zero targets by removing the need for a gas supply to the building and making the centre energy self-sufficient for long periods;
- reduce the cost of the energy needed to run the Community Centre
- offer a place of safety during days of excessive heat and refuge in the event of flooding.
